This month's topic:
“Twirling the Pieces”
.
********************************************
I have been twirling the
pieces for this newsletter. I have started it several times and then the
pieces would twirl and change. I am sitting here today with three pieces
and they make sense to me. Twirling pieces are equally frustrating and
freeing. Truthfully, they are only frustrating when I try to force them
into the form I think they are supposed to fit. It is when I exhale
loudly and shake my head and say, “Okay, I give up,” that they land in a
beautiful design. So, here we go!
Piece number one: The Magic Key of
Self-Appreciation is a class I teach. I pulled out a handout from the
class, and feeling in need of a little self-appreciation, I decided to
share it with you… my beautiful subscribers… who might also be in need
of a little self-appreciation.
Here is the handout:
“Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word,
a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring,
all of which have the potential to turn a life around.” -- Leo
Buscaglia
What if you take that touch, that smile, a kind
word, a listening ear, or any small act of caring and apply it to
yourself? What impact would it have on your life?
If you give to yourself in equal measure what you
give to others, what happens in your life?
I encourage you to write the quote down in your
own handwriting. What buzzes inside of you as you write? Do you treat
yourself as kindly as you treat others in your life? Then, answer the
questions. Once again, I encourage you to write down your answers. It
gives physical form to your inner answers. No editing, just write from
inside.
Too easily, we can gloss over what we feel good
about in our life and focus on what we think needs fixing or improving.
For example, we may have 14 things on our to do list, complete 13 of
them, and be mad at ourselves for the one we did not get done.
If you are feeling unappreciated in your life,
check in and see where you are not appreciating yourself. What we send
out comes back to us. If the vibration you are sending out is not
appreciating yourself, you will attract people in your life who will not
appreciate you.
Piece number two: From a brochure for the I Can
Do It conference in Toronto, Canada, (For more information on the
conference, go to
www.icandoit.net). I read the section on Dr. Masaru Emoto’s lecture.
His lecture is titled: “Love Thyself: The Message from Water.” Dr. Emoto
has been doing research on how molecules of water respond to human
thought and emotion. It says, “In this profound live lecture, Dr. Emoto
will share his fascinating discoveries of how crystals that form in
frozen water reveal changes when specific thoughts are directed toward
them, thus showing how we can positively impact the earth and our
personal health. To love yourself is to love and thank all of
existence.”
“To love yourself is to love and thank all of
existence.” This is a very powerful statement of truth. Why, because we
are mostly water and the thoughts and words we direct to ourselves
impact every molecule of water within us. And, we get to choose. It’s
all about us and what we think about us. What do you think about
yourself? If like energy attracts like energy, and every thought and
word impacts us physically, will beating or berating ourselves ever
bring love, joy, or happiness into our lives?
“You, yourself, as much as anybody in the entire Universe, deserve your
love and affection.” Buddah
You, yourself…you deserve it simply because you
exist. There is no earning, fixing, or when to it. You deserve it now.
Get on board with your beautiful self and change the world!
Piece number three: Doreen Virtue’s Healing with
the Fairies Oracle Cards. I asked for guidance and drew the
Self-Reliance card. Card meaning: “You are your own best friend, and you
can provide for yourself emotionally and physically.” “You can rely on
yourself and your own spiritual gifts to manifest all that you need in
your life.” “This card also counsels you to filter out negativity that
may sway you from listening to your own inner voice.” Affirmation: “I am
tuned in to my inner source of direction. I confidently rely upon this
inner source to guide me perfectly.”
Hmmm, filter out negativity includes negative
self-talk and lack of self-appreciation.
Three beautiful pieces slyly weaving together
with a message of love for all of us. I am thankful with all of my
heart!
With great respect for the beauty within each of you!
Terri
